Background:

Since the BoCC last met in August and provided County staff with targeted direction for moving forward on the Central Receiving System, considerable activities have been made toward this desired goal. A follow up presentation on this topic was also provided on December 6, 2021 to the Joint City of Gainesville and Alachua County Commissions. A myriad of developments on this initiative, including funding, design and program-related activities have since occurred, with results to date necessary to be shared with the BoCC. Three significant options form the core of this latest presentation. Input from County staff (Court Services & Community Support Services) and Meridian Behavioral HealthCare, Inc. will be provided.
