June 9, 2020 - Commissioner Byerly moved to refer this matter to County/City staff to communicate and report back to the Board on one and two so the Board can determine whether to request repayment and thank the Oversight Board for their work:
1. What the difference in cost is between the default sidewalk and what was actually spent.
2. Determine what the City of Gainesville plans would have been in the absence of Wild Spaces Public Places funding.
3. Staff to bring back a process for screening or preapproval by the Oversight Board to avoid these situations moving forward.
The motion carried 5-0.

Background:
The Wild Spaces Public Places (WSPP) Citizens Oversight Board reviews the WSPP expenditures of all nine cities and the County. At the May 18, 2020 Wild Space Public Places (WSPP) Citizens Oversight Board meeting, the Oversight Board voted 3:2 to request demanding repayment for a sidewalk/multi-use path of the City of Gainesville's SW 40th Project.
On June 9, 2020, the County Commission directed City and County staff to meet to determine what options were available. Together, staff identified three options:
Option 1 - plant $200,000 worth of trees (value of the trail)
