Background:

The Lake Santa Fe Nutrient Source Study assessed a stormwater outlet to Lake Santa Fe at the Trout Street boat ramp on Melrose Bay. This outfall discharges runoff from the surrounding neighborhood. The residents of the area have expressed concern about the water quality impacts of the untreated runoff. The intent of this project is to design Green Stormwater Infrastructure/Low Impact Design best management practices at strategic locations in the area draining to the Lake to provide water quality treatment and reduce nuisance drainage issues. This will result in a water quality benefit for the lake. A task assignment for the design will be issued through EPD’s environmental services contracts.
