Recommended Action
Appoint three citizens to the Criminal Justice, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Grant Planning Committee for the three following positions:
1) Director of a local Substance Abuse Treatment Program
2) Director of a Community Mental Health Agency
3) Representative - Area Homeless Program.
All positions’ terms ended April 30, 2019.

Background:
This committee was created by Resolution in 2007. The committee, in coordination with the County Office of Management and Budget and the County Court Services Department, shall make a formal recommendation to the County regarding how the CJMHSARG may best be implemented in the community. The membership of the Advisory Board is comprised of 21 positions as stipulated by the State, which has set forth requirements for the composition of the committee. This board’s positions are specific, designated membership categories. There are currently three vacancies on the Criminal Justice, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Grant Planning Committee, and three citizens have applied:
Director of a Local Substance Abuse Treatment Program, term ended April 2019
Dr. Wandamaria Lopez (Served 3 terms, attendance satisfactory)
Director of a Community Mental Health Agency, term ended April 2019
Don Savoie (Served 0 terms, attendance N/A)
Representative - Area Homeless Program, term ended April 2019
