Description:
Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2019-1788, to Leesburg Concrete Co. Inc.
Recommended Action:
Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2019-1788, to Leesburg Concrete Co. Inc., in the amount of $73,994.00, for the Purchase of one (1) Pre-Cast Concrete Restroom and two (2) Toilets for Lake Alto Park. Prices, terms and conditions per specifications (Piggyback) of Clay County Florida Contract 16-0214 Bid Provide and Install Pre-Cast Concrete Restrooms and Other Buildings.
Prior Board Motions:
On January 22, 2019 the BOCC approved funding for the Lake Alto Restroom Project in the amount of $100,000 from the Boating Improvement Fund.
Fiscal Consideration:
There is $100,000 remaining in the project budget which is sufficient for the $73,994.00 encumbrance, in account 043.41.4100.572.62.00, Boating Improvement Program fund.
Project Number: 6194105 Lake Alto Park- New Construction - Restroom
Background:
Lake Alto Park currently offers a boat launch and is connected to Lake Alto North and South Preserves, totaling 685 acres of contiguous property. The park also has a viewing area and gazebo however there are currently no restroom facilities for this unique site.

Lake Alto Park serves as a parking and connection point to 4.6 miles of unpaved trails through pine flatwoods and lake shore hardwood forest in the Preserve.

Lake Alto Park is currently the only boat ramp with defined paved parking that does not have a restroom facility.

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.11(15) of the Alachua County Purchasing Code, which permits the County to purchase supplies, materials, equipment and services under contract with federal, state, or municipal governments or any other governmental agency or political subdivision providing the vendor extends the same terms and condition...
