Background:
Alachua County, A Charter County pursuant to Article VIII, Section 1(g), of the Florida Constitution, has all powers of local self-government not inconsistent with general law or with special law approved by vote of the electors. Alachua County adopted Resolution 94-34 on April 12, 1994, authorizing the Clerk to dispose of surplus property in accordance with Chapter 274, Florida Statues. Resolution 94-34 requires that the Clerk have the report recorded in the Minutes of the Board of County Commissioners.
