On September 10, 2019 the Alachua County BoCC approved Resolution 19-95, the Final Rate Resolution for Fire Services Assessments and authorized the Manager to certify the non-ad valorem assessment roll to the tax collector.

Fiscal impact of certification of Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll is an increase of $72,123.65.  Original certification = $13,973,290 and Revised certification = $14,045,413.65

Background:

On September 10, 2019 the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution 19-95, the Final Rate Resolution for Fire Services Assessments and authorized the Manager to certify the non-ad valorem assessment roll to the tax collector.  The Revised Certification of Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll allows the County to certify a more up-to-date reflection of the fire protection assessment prior to the finalization of the tax roll.
