Description:

Authorization to advertise a Public Hearing for Board consideration to vacate a portion of the Plat for High Springs Manor.

Background:

Alachua County Public Works has received an application from John W. Clark and Saint Elmo Cherry-Clark, as property owners, to vacate a portion of the plat of High Springs Manor, as per plat recorded in Plat Book “B”, Page 71 of the public records of Alachua County, Florida.

 

The area the property owners are requesting to be vacated is the portion of said plat that lies within Tax Parcel Number 02922-000-000.

 

Public Works has reviewed this request and county staff is recommending approval of the proposed plat vacation as per Alachua County Code Sec.402.64 (a). It will not affect the ownership or right of convenient access of persons owning other parts of the subdivision or adjacent properties.

 

Based on staff’s recommendation of approval, the applicants wish to proceed with a public hearing before the Board.

 

The Plat of High Sprigs Manor is located north of High Springs and west of I-75 in Section 29, Township 7 South, Range 18 East

 

This action is in accordance with Alachua County Code Chapter 402.63 and 402.67 and Florida Statutes 177.101 (3).
