Description:

The County Attorney is requesting appointment of a special attorney to represent the County in the matter of Alachua County v. Sadie Darnell, in her official capacity as Sheriff of Alachua County, Florida, 1^st DCA #1D18-3367.  The County will retain Sylvia H. Walbolt, Carlton Fields (<https://www.carltonfields.com/team/w/sylvia-h-walbolt>), to represent Alachua County in this matter at $495/hour.  The contract will include authorization for Nicholas Brown, Carlton Field (<https://www.carltonfields.com/team/b/nicholas-a-brown>), to provide legal services to the County at $375/hour.
