Approve the award, contract and budget amendment for BID 19-925 SW 24th Avenue Sidewalk Project 919-7902-FY19-1 to Hartman Civil Construction Co. Inc., in the amount of $293,750.00, plus a contingency amount of $29,375.00, for a total fiscal impact of $323,125.00, as the lowest, most responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifications. Budget amendment is to approve the movement of $101,000 from Kincaid Loop to SW 24th Avenue Sidewalk Project to cover budget shortfall.

The total amount needed for the contract with contingency for project 919-7902-FY19-1 is $323,125 with only $267,195 of available project budget in account 350.79.7910.541.63.01. The budget shortfall will be made up by approving budget amendment moving $101,000 from the Kincaid Loop project to this project along with FY19 carryforwards. Funds are associated with the 5-Cent Local Option Gas Tax.

Background:
The project is to install a 6 FT wide concrete sidewalk on the south side of SW 24th Avenue between SW 87th Way and SW 77th Street. This will also require reworking the drainage system and rebuilding driveways. Work is expected to commence in December, 2019 and reach completion in Spring 2020. Work will be conducted during the daytime.
