Background:

The County has had a successful, long-term, partnership with the North Florida Botanical Society, Inc. for the management of Kanapaha Botanical Gardens.  Section 11 of their agreement requires an audit.  Staff is requesting approval to amend their agreement to allow the option of either an audit or an internally prepared financial statement.  If the option of an internally prepared financial statement is selected, they must provide the minutes from their Board meeting at which the report was accepted, as well as a copy of their signed IRS Form 990, if applicable.  The City of Gainesville allows their external Professional Art Producing Institutions (PAPI) to do the same.
