Grant is a Federal reimbursement grant via Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) so loan is needed to pay for construction expenditures till reimbursements are received.

Background:
In 2013, Poe Springs Road Trail was listed as the number 1 priority for the Federal Transportation Alternative Program. In September of 2016, the Board approved a LAP agreement with FDOT for design of the Trail in the amount of $10,000. In October of 2018, the Board approved LAP Agreement with FDOT for the construction of Poe Springs Road Trail.
Bid 19-900 Poe Springs Road Trail (LAP-FPN 433990-2-58-01) advertised on May 1, 2019 and May 8, 2019. The deadline for receipt of Bid 19-900 Poe Springs Road Trail (LAP-FPN 433990-2-58-01) was June 5, 2019; three (3) vendors responded. August 27, 2019, Curt's Construction, Inc., was awarded the Construction Contract in the amount of $1,148,987.57, as the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifications.
