Background:
The State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) mandates that fund recipients establish an Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) in accordance to State Statute 420.9 076.
AHAC is responsible for reviewing the established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and comprehensive plans of Alachua County and to recommend specific actions or initiatives to encourage affordable housing.
The Committee is comprised of eleven (11) members and one (1) alternate position.
AHAC meets on alternate months or as needed. :
