Request Approval of Revised Advisory Board and Committee Guidelines

 

Recommended Action:

Recommended Action

Approve: (1) revised Advisory Board and Committee Guidelines, as presented in redline, and (2) for the purposes of determining any current Advisory Board member’s compliance with the attendance policy change in Section II.(8), this policy shall not be applied retroactively, but shall only apply to meetings that occur after the adoption of these revised Guidelines.

Background:

Several areas were updated including:

 

                     II(8) - Attendance - was updated and clarified to read as follows:  “Any regular or alternate members whose attendance is 50% or less of the last 6 consecutive Regular meetings shall automatically be removed from the advisory board or committee, unless there are extenuating circumstances, which require the approval of the Manager, or designee.”  “Attendance will not count against members unable to attend Special or Subcommittee meetings.”

                     III(2)a. Meetings Open to Public - was updated to include: “All Regular, Special and Subcommittee meetings must be publicly noticed a minimum of one week prior to the meeting.”

                     III(9) was added to include a code of conduct.
