The salary range for a Maintenance Supervisor III (NBR 13) ($19.49 - $30.28 Hourly or $40,549.18 - $62,989.26 Annually) is lower than the salary range for a Senior Engineering Technician (NBR 14) ($20.53 - $31.89 Hourly or $42,698.24 - $66,327.25 Annually). Funded through Gas Tax 149.79.7900.541

Background:
Quanor (Butch) Skipper is retiring from the Alachua County Public Works Department after 35 years of service. Mr. Skipper's separation date from the County is May 28, 2020. However, due to accrued leave balances, Mr. Skipper's final day on the job with Public Works is February 2, 2020.
Mr. Skipper is currently employed as a Senior Engineering Technician, but his recent duties have been more in line with those of a Maintenance Supervisor III. At this time, the Public Works Department needs a Maintenance Supervisor III to replace Mr. Skipper and does not need a replacement Senior Engineering Technician.
