Recognition of Chris Bird, retirement from the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners (Environmental Protection Department) after thirty-four years of dedicated service to the citizens of Alachua County.

 

Followed by Chris Bird who will share his final perspective on the state of our local environment based upon his tenure as Alachua County’s Environmental Protection Director.

Background:

It is the Board's practice to recognize employees for their achievements. The Board will recognize Chris Bird’s retirement from Environmental Protection Department, after thirty-four years of dedicated service to the citizens of Alachua County by presenting him a small token of appreciation for his dedicated service. Chris Bird has been employed in the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department since 1986 and has served as Environmental Protection Director since 1993.
