Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2020-1641, to Nextran Truck Center-Lake City, in the amount of $57,311.50, for the purchase of one (1) 2021 Hino 155, 16’ Conyers Van Box.  Prices, terms and conditions are per Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chiefs Association, Contract #FSA 19 - VEH 17.0.

Background:

Purchase Order 2020-1641 is for the scheduled replacement of unit #3531, a box truck used at the Fire Rescue Central Supply Warehouse for the delivery of materials and equipment for the operations of Fire Rescue services.

 

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to the County’s Procurement Code, Section 22.3-302 Exemptions from the Source Selection Process, subsection (12), Procurement of Supplies or Services under Contract with federal, state, or municipal governments or any other governmental agency or political subdivision provided the vendor extends the same terms and conditions of the Contract to the County. However, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authority of the Procurement Manager, this Purchase Order is being submitted for Board consideration and approval.
