(secondary) based on availability, not to exceed (NTE) $500,000 annually, as the lowest responsive and responsible bidders meeting specifications.

This is Rate Based with various accounts, various funds and various projects. The projects will have funds designated for hauling within their project budgets.

Background:
This agreement will be used for roadway construction material hauling as needed; the County does not have trucks and personnel to handle all hauling needs. The agreement is utilized to haul limerock and mill for unimproved roads and for special projects. The term of the agreement is through September 30, 2021 with the option of renewing for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
Contracts will be used on an as-needed basis and hauling estimates are included in the department annual operating budgets and capital project budgets. This contract has an annual not-to-exceed amount of $500,000.
