Description:

Contract amendment to expand the list of authorized Sub-Consultants used to execute additional services for the County and to accept the use of electronic signatures to execute amendments.

Prior Board Motions:

October 24, 2017 - Board approved the finance report for RFP 18-115 and authorized staff to negotiate agreements with three, top ranked firms.

February 13, 2018 - Board approved agreements with the three, top ranked firms from the selection process.

September 18, 2019 - Board approved first amendment to agreement to extend the term of the contracts through September 30, 2021.

The contract will be used on an as-needed basis and engineering services are included in the department annual operating budgets and capital project budgets.

 

The contracts for RFP 18-115 have an annual not to exceed amount of $1,500,000.

Background:

The County has requested that Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. provide construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for upcoming bridge maintenance projects.  The contract includes fees for general CEI services, however this task requires a sub-consultant having the specialized training to conduct CEI for bridge projects.  The hourly rate for specialized sub-consultant CEI is 10% higher than for general CEI services
