Prior Board Motions:
August 8, 2017 - The Board approved and authorized execution of the contract with Alachua Conservation Trust for RFP 17219 Alachua County Forever Conservation Land Program Contract Negotiator.

Fiscal Consideration:
Fiscal Consideration
For FY 21, the not-to-exceed fee will be $116,732.88. There is a provision for a 2% increase per year.

Fund: 021.41.4160.537.31.00 Wild Spaces Public Places- to be allocated into projects as they arise.

Background:
The County issued Request for Proposal ("RFP") 17-219 seeking the professional services of a contract negotiator to assist the County in the implementation, coordination and promotion of the County's Alachua County Forever Program. The use of contractual services provides additional flexibility for the program and recognizes that the Wild Spaces and Public Places funding has an eight-year term.

Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) was the successful respondent and the County executed an agreement for their services on August 8, 2017. The agreement expires on September 30. 2020. The current agreement includes a provision for renewal for an additional three-year term.

Personnel provided by ACT to provide these services, currently Byron Flagg, have provided exceptional service and have been successful in representing the County in the acquisition of environmentally significant of lands across the County.
