Background:
The Florida Housing Finance Corporation when funded by the State Legislature distributes SHIP funds to each county in the State of Florida. Alachua County received funding in the amount of $639,334.82 for SFY 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
SHIP funds provide financial assistance for very low, low, and moderate-income households in the form of Down Payment Assistance, Owner Occupied Rehabilitation, Rental Assistance, and Rental Development.
The Annual Report has been submitted to the State to ensure compliance with the reporting date of September 15, 2020. The BoCC’s approval is required for the Certification Form. The Certification Form is to be transmitted to the State upon approval.
