Adopt the proposed resolution to schedule a public hearing to consider the application to vacate an unimproved portion of NE 132nd Terrace that was dedicated to the County by the Plat of North Windsor, and to authorize publication of notice of the public hearing.

Background:
Alachua County Public Works has received an application from James Lofton, Deborah Lofton, and Gregory S. Moress as property owners, to vacate an unimproved portion of NE 132nd Terrace, as per the plat of North Windsor recorded in Deed Book "T", Page 115 of the public records of Alachua County, Florida.

Public Works has reviewed this request and County staff has determined that the portion of NE 132nd Terrace sought to be vacated by this application consists of only a portion of the rights-of-way within the plat and has not been constructed and is not maintained by Alachua County.

County staff is recommending approval of the proposed right-of-way vacation as per Alachua County Code Sec.324. It will not affect the ownership or right of convenient access of persons owning other parts of the subdivision or adjacent properties.

Based on staff's recommendation of approval, the applicants wish to proceed with a public hearing before the Board. Pursuant to section 336.10, Florida Statutes, the notice of the public hearing...
