Background:

Alachua County Environmental Protection Department received a grant for the amount of $423,480 to complete a restoration project and study at Hornsby Spring, a first magnitude spring located in Alachua County.  Due to unanticipated delays in the Phase II of the project, muck removal and replanting of submerged aquatic vegetation, a no-cost extension of 12 months has been requested.
