Description:

Appoint Leann Campbell to serve in the Citizen at Large position of the Human Rights Board completing a term ending October 31, 2021.  Applicant may reapply to continue in a full three-year term.

Prior Board Motions:

The Human Rights Board reviews the Director’s recommendations on all discrimination complaints for the enforcement of Chapter 111 of the Alachua County Code, which included the Human Rights and the Fair Housing Ordinances.  In coordination with the Director, the Board takes other informational, educational, or persuasive actions to implement the purpose of Chapter 111.

 

The Board shall be composed of seven members plus one alternate member appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  The membership shall consist, whenever possible, of the following:  a member of the Alachua County Citizen Disability Advisory Committee, an attorney eligible to practice in the State of Florida, a residential rental manager, a representative of a lending institution, and four citizens-at-large.  Membership shall be representative of the County’s population and wherever possible, should reflect racial, ethnic and religious minorities as well as geographic economic and sexual considerations.
