Description:

Third Amendment to Lease Agreement with Alachua County Farmer's Market for lease of real property located at 5920 NW 13th Street, Gainesville, Florida. This is the third renewal of the lease and this lease may be renewed for one (1) additional one

(1) year term.

 

Recommended Action:

Recommended Action

Approve 3rd Amendment to Farmer's Market Lease #10755 to extend the lease for Fiscal Year 2021, authorize the Chair to execute same, and authorize the County Manager to approve and execute a fourth amendment, for the purpose of extending the term of this lease for an additional one year period, if the tenant elects to exercise its right to renew the lease for the fourth (final) time.

Prior Board Motions:

In December 2017, the County entered into a new agreement with Farmer's Market Inc. which addressed not only the extension of the lease but added new language allowing for solicitation in designated areas with the Farmer's Market.

 

The current agreement allows for four (4) additional, one (1) year terms. The BoCC approved the First Amendment on August 28th , 2018 for FY19 and the Second Amendment on September 10th, 2019 for FY20. This Third Amendment extends the agreement for the third of those four (4) renewal periods

 

Fiscal Consideration:

Fiscal Consideration

Lessee agrees to pay $10.00 per year for the lease term October 1st, 2020 through September 30th 2021 to lease the space for the Farmer's Market.

Background:

In 2003 the County entered into a Lease Agreement with Alachua County Farmer's Market to lease space that belongs to the County and since that time, the agreement has been renewed each year.
