Background:

Due to COVID-19, AmeriCorps Seniors continues to recognize the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 on our grantees and volunteers, and the communities they serve. Specifically, COVID-19 continues to have a direct impact on the ability of many grantees to continue program operations in communities across the country. To help support those efforts, AmeriCorps Seniors is providing a one-time augmentation to support programs to facilitate a safer pathway to service. AmeriCorps Seniors encourages all grantees to use funds to address service challenges as a result of COVID-19. Alachua County Foster Grandparent program was awarded $15,000. The one time augmentation will be used to purchase laptops and other technology equipment to increase volunteers’ familiarity with technology.
