Background:

The original Agreement awarded the Neighborhood Housing and Development Corporation (NHDC) $84,000 on a reimbursement basis for the repair of 4 eligible owner-occupied very low income household homes. This First Amendment will award the NHDC an additional $80,000 to make critical home repairs to an additional 4 eligible, owner-occupied, very low income households within Alachua County and outside of Gainesville city limits.  This amendment will bring the total award to $164,000.

Neighborhood Housing and Development Corporation is an independent, non-profit, organization led by a local board of directors that coordinate all aspects of their work, including fundraising and program oversight.  NHDC is a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency. The State of Florida has also designated the agency as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO).
