Background:
This request from the Economic Development Advisory Committee in general aligns to the Board’s Strategic Vision to Achieve Social and Economic Opportunity for All and Accelerate Progress on Infrastructure.
At the May 27, Economic Development Advisory Committee meeting, a motion was approved requesting a Chair Letter concerning the support for broadband access in underserved areas.
The Committee would appreciate a Chair Letter of thanks for the recently enacted State Broadband Opportunity Program and pending federal funds that will provide resources to extend broadband services to areas without it.
The letters were requested for Representative Cammack and Representative Clemons.
