Sufficient budget is available for this purchase in operating for Equestrian Center. The Budget Amendment moves $350,000.00 from capital (account 342.45.4502.552.64.00) to operating (342.45.4502.552.52.00).

Background:
The new Auditorium and the UF/IFAS Extension Office will be used for both public and private events. The auditorium will seat 300-400 people and will include a state of the art teaching kitchen for demonstrations and 4-H programs. These Purchase Orders are for equipment and furniture. In addition, approximately $3500 will be used for equipment in the kitchen (Pots, Pans, cooking supplies to equip the kitchen area).

For purchase of 220 tables and 400 chairs for the new auditorium that will seat 300-400 people for events. In addition, the chair caddies and lobby furniture.
PO 2021-1964
For purchase of desks, lobby furniture, conference room table and chairs for the new UF/IFAS Extension Office. In addition, rolling storage cabinets/shelves and breakroom tables and chairs.
This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302(2) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, which permits the County to purchase Supplies or Services purchased at a Price established by the Florida Department of Management Services, or at a Price equal to or less than the Price established by the state agency; however, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authority of the Procurement Manager, these Purchase Orders are being submitted for Board consideration and approval.
