Fiscal Consideration
The Transit Services Agreement will require the County to pay a total of $1,086,501 to the City in quarterly payments for Fiscal Year 2022. The Transit Services Agreement will require the County to pay a total of $1,140,644 to the City in quarterly payments for Fiscal Year 2023.There is sufficient budget in Account: 008.79.7940.544.34.00 in the proposed FY2022 tentative budget.

Background:
The City of Gainesville and Alachua County enter into annual agreements for the delivery of public transit services primarily to the unincorporated area. In the past, the parties have executed two separate agreement for service. This fiscal year, the parties are proposing to combine the separate agreements into a single agreement for all service. The Fiscal Year 20/21 contracts totaled $1,056,426. For Fiscal Year 21/22, the contract total is $1,086,501. This represents an increase of 2.85% over the previous year service cost. For Fiscal Year 22/23 the contract totals $1,140,644, representing an increase of 4.98%.

In addition to the Routes in the unincorporated area that are funded by the County, there are routes funded by UF and Santa Fe College. Those routes include:
