Background:
The Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Sciences (FDAC) has requested to lease an office in our new UF/IFAS Extension - Alachua County office building for $100 per month for 48-months (with one optional four-year renewal). This partnership will ensure the State Agriculture Response Team (SART) is centrally located and allow Alachua County the opportunity to borrow their equipment when not in emergency use. Additionally, FDAC has the regulatory responsibility of verifying health papers for livestock, which is another benefit for user groups at the Alachua County Agriculture & Equestrian Center (including the Youth Fair).
