At the Board of County Commissioners October 25, 2016 meeting, the Board approved Contract #10066 between Alachua County and Recycling Services of America, Inc., for BID #17-46 Annual Office Recycling Services.

Solid Waste Assessment Funds from account 405.76.7620.534.34.00 ($74,000) are budgeted for FY 2022 for this contract.

Background:
This Agreement will provide for the collection, processing, and marketing of recyclable materials from approximately 38 county offices or County buildings. The regular collection, processing and marketing of recyclables from County offices is a necessary service as we attempt to reduce our environmental impact. Current County staff does not have the time or equipment available to them to provide these services on a regular schedule.
