Description:

County-wide Broadband preliminary project plan allocated $15 million dollars with $1 Million for personal service cost. This request is to shift $539,377 from FY23 to the FY22 Broadband operating project budget.

 

Recommended Action:

Approve the $539,377 of ARP funds to the FY22 Broadband Project budget and the budget amendment.

On 10/12/21 board approved 2 FTE’s (Broadband Project Manager and Administrative Assistant), and a $1 million dollar budget.

Background:

The Broadband Project Manager and Administrative Assistant have been hired. The Broadband project plan will continually evolve as the new project manager researches, coordinates and identifies opportunities in ways to effectively and efficiently implement the plan. The project is moving at a rapid pace and we plan to have a full needs assessment, feasibility study and cost analysis by the fall of 2022 

The FY22 operating needs are as follows:

 

Financial Cost Analysis Consultant - $100,000

Industry Related Travel, Registrations and Memberships - $41,650

Communication Services, Office Supplies and Operating Supplies - $49,100

Software Licenses - $125,500

Capital Equipment - $42,127

Capital Infrastructure - $181,000

 

Total - $539,377
