Millage rates will be used to establish the amount of ad valorem taxes to be collected to fund the FY23 General Fund and MSTU - Law Enforcement budgets.

Background:

Per Florida Statutes, Chapter 129 and Chapter 200, Alachua County, through the County Manager as budget officer, prepared a balanced budget presented to the County Commission following the established statutory requirements. 

 

The County Manager presented her budget to the Board of County Commissioners on June 28, 2022.  This meeting is to set the proposed millage rates for General County, MSTU- Law Enforcement and adopt the resolution to fund the FY23 County budget.

 

The proposed millage rates are then forwarded to the Alachua County Property Appraiser to be incorporated in the TRIM notices sent to Alachua County property owners.
