Description:
Alachua County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 75.601 requires that a franchise agreement be approved by the County in order to engage in the business of providing commercial solid waste collection services. Due to the expected revenues from the Commercial Services Franchise Agreement between Alachua County and Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. being greater than $50,000, the Application and Agreement are required to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Additionally, Waste Pro of Florida is entering into a separate Disposal Agreement to ensure that all the acceptable waste collected by the Franchisee will be delivered to the Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station.
