Background:

On September 13, 2022, the Board approved FY 2023 New World Report of Annual Blanket Purchase Orders (agenda item 22-0731) which included approval of a vendor for stop loss insurance.  Competitive quotes later revealed that a change in the Insurance Carrier would be benefit to the County. As a result, the new vendor for Purchase Order 2023-334 will be Tokio Marine. Amount $966,265.

 

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-301(13) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, which permits the County to purchase insurance services. Due to the dollar amount and previous consideration of this Purchase Order, this information is being submitted to the Board.
