Description:

Revise the Certified Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll for submission to the Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, and Florida Department of Revenue. The reason for the revision is to account for any changes made between the previous roll which was approved at the September 13, 2022, Board meeting and the closing of the records for the annual tax notice.

Accept the Revised Certification of the Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll and authorize the Chair to sign it.

Prior Board Motions:

At the September 13, 2022, Board meeting the original Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll was approved in conjunction with the Final Assessment Resolution.

The Revised Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll represents a reduction in funds being collected in the amount of $8,894.92. The majority of this amount is accounted for by the decision to end the paving assessment for certain roadways located in High Springs.

Background:

On September 13, 2022, the Alachua County BOCC approved the Certification of Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Roll and authorized the Chair to certify the non-ad valorem assessment roll to the tax collector. By revising this roll it will allow for the County, the Tax Collector, and the Property Appraiser to have matching, balanced, rolls.
