Background:
Alachua County applied and was subsequently awarded funding by the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for the Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus Relief Funding (CDBG-CV). This funding will support the conversion of the formerly Budget Inn site in support of permanent support housing for chronically homeless individuals.
The CDBG Program requires an Environmental Review be addressed on all projects where CDBG funds will be utilized. It is requested that the Chair be authorized to execute and deliver site review correspondence, drafts of which are included in this agenda item, and any other related requirements or correspondence related to the site environmental review.
