Background:
Commvault Backup & Recovery is software that is the central component to manage all the disaster recovery infrastructure for the Alachua County BOCC departments. Commvault Software is used daily for the backup and restore of data stored in multiple county application systems, including but not limited to email, databases, and files. It also used to include remote backup and data recovery at the remote datacenter located at the Northwest Regional Datacenter in Tallahassee, Florida.

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302(22) for software systems and Section 22.3-302(13) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, which permits the County to purchase supplies or services under contract with cooperatives, provided the vendor extends the same terms and conditions of the contract to the County; however, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authori...
