Background:
The BoCC held a policy discussion on September 6, 2022 that sought public input regarding proposed changes in the Cottage Neighborhood Ordinance. At that meeting, the Board directed staff to draft changes to the ordinance based on public input as well as Board recommendations. Draft amendments were presented to the Board on February 28, 2023 with a request to advertise the changes for adoption. The Board voted staff recommended changes with an adoption hearing to be held as soon practicable. Subsequent to the September 6, 2022 meeting, a six month moratorium on approval of Cottage Neighborhoods was adopted by the Board in October 2022 with an expiration date of April 24, 2023.
