Background:

The County purchased the Agriculture & Equestrian Center on Aug. 7, 2019.  Two different sets of rules are proposed for the rental of the facility: (1) for Agriculture & Equestrian Events and (2) for all other events (e.g., Native American Festival, Craft Brewers and Carnival).

The rules are based on those historically in existence for the Alachua County Fairgrounds (adjacent to the Gainesville Regional Airport) and Canterbury Equestrian Showplace.

Attached is a list of events (with general description) that would be considered Agriculture & Equestrian events.  Additionally, staff would request that circuses and non-human primates be excluded from the property.
