Approve the solicitation award for BID 20-11: Annual Purchase of Fire Rescue Uniforms, to Galls, LLC. and Dana Safety Supply in accordance Attachment 3 of this Agenda item, entitle BR 20-11 Bid Response Form, as the lowest, most responsible and responsive bidders meeting specifications and approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2020-459 to Galls, LLC., in the amount of $73,000.00.

The FY20 Adopted budget includes funding for fire rescue uniforms in General Fund and MSBU Fund, accounts: 001.54.5450.526.52.70 and 011.54.5480.522.52.70 totaling $140,000.00.

Background:
Alachua County Fire Rescue purchases uniforms for operational personnel. The estimated annual budget for uniforms (excluding bunker gear) is approximately $140,000.00. After staff review, Galls and Dana Safety were determined to be the lowest and most responsive bidders. It was also determined that due to significant price difference, that the t-shirts and wildland Nomex items should be excluded from the bid. RadWear currently provides t-shirts and Plexus provides wildland Nomex items at a significant cost savings over the next lowest bidder.
Bid 20-11: Annual Purchase of Fire Rescue Uniforms advertised on August 21, 2019 and August 28, 2019. The deadline for receipt of Bid 20-11: Annual Purchase of Fire Rescue Uniforms was September 25, 2019; four (4) vendors responded. .
