Prior Board Motions:
December 8, 2020 -BoCC approved awarding of Bid 20-229 to McIntyre Trucking LLC with two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
February 25, 2021 - BoCC exercise its contractual right to completely terminate the contractual services agreement with McIntyre Trucking LLC because of the contractor's failure to perform its contractual obligations.
May 25, 2021, BoCC approved awarding of Bid 20-229 to USA Services of Florida with one (1) additional one (1) year period.

Background:
Street Sweeping is an activity which serves to collect debris from roadways with the purpose of improving water quality in the receiving water bodies and reducing maintenance in the County's closed storm water systems. Alachua County owns over 200 miles of roadways that are drained by closed drainage systems. Public Works has operated one street sweeper for several years that has only been capable of sweeping between 25 to 50 miles of roadways per month. The inability to keep up with street sweeping demand has impacted the water quality of receiving water bodies and the maintenance of the County's closed drainage systems. A solicitation for Annual Street Sweeping Service was made in order to provide an acceptable level of service for street sweeping activities by providing street sweeping on all of the County's facilities 12 times a year, that is,...
