Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2020-1367, to CDW-G, in the amount of $102,669.00, for the purchase of replacement of disk storage shelves, cabling, mounting kits, software, support and maintenance until December 31, 2020, for the Storage Area Network (SAN) at the Wilson and EOC computer rooms. Funding ($102,669.00) exists for the purchase of this equipment in the Computer Replacement Fund, Account 500.04.0450.513.64.00.

Background:
The disk storage shelves will reach the end of life in 2020. The upgrade involves migration to a new operational mode for the SAN that will enable no disruptive maintenance operations, improved storage and operational efficiency, and scalability over the lifetime of the system, while adding additional levels of storage redundancy.

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.11(15) of the Alachua County Purchasing Code, which permits the County to purchase supplies, materials, equipment and services under contract with federal, state, or municipal governments or any other governmental agency or political subdivision providing the vendor extends the same terms and conditions of the contract to the county, based on the determination by the Procurement Manager of such purchases off these contracts being in the best interest of the county.
