October 23, 2007 the Board adopted Resolution 07-97 vacating the South 2/3 of High Springs Manor.
November 12, 2019 the Board authorized advertisement of the Notice of Public Hearing for the proposed plat vacation for High Springs Manor.

Background:
The Alachua County Public Works Department has received an application from John W. Clark and Saint Elmo Cherry-Clark, (Clark & Cherry-Clark), as property owners, for a partial vacation of the North 1/3 of High Springs Manor, as per plat recorded in Plat Book "B", page 71 of the public records of Alachua County, Florida. The plat has never been developed or improved and no streets have been constructed. The applicants are seeking to vacate 143 of the 144 lots located in the North 1/3 of the plat and all internal streets which do not provide direct access to the single remaining lot owned by R.G. Ford, lot 13, Block 7.

The area the property owners are requesting to be vacated is the portion of said plat that lies within Tax Parcel Number 02922-000-000. This property is Mr. Clark and Mrs. Cherry-Clark's homestead and they desire to vacate the underlying plat to return it to acreage since they have no desire to develop the plat.

Public Works has reviewed this request and determined that the vacation of this portion of the plat will not deprive any person of a reasonable means of ingress and egress to his or her premises, will not affect the ownership interests of any person, and will not mate...
