Background:

The Florida Association of Counties has requested a resolution of support for the State of Florida’s broadband efforts to provide internet connectivity to all households and businesses in the State, through their ACCESS 67 Initiative.  Now, more than ever, virtual work, education and telemedicine have highlighted the depth of Florida’s digital divide.

The ACCESS 67 Initiative represents a comprehensive approach to address the lack of access in many of our communities, rural and urban; small, medium, and large; to the required technological resources that our citizens need.
