Background:

The Florida Department Health currently is using office space at the Fernside Family Service Center located at 3600 NE 15th Street, Gainesville. The Superintendent of the Schoolboard of Alachua County has decided not to allow them to continue operations at that site and they need new office space. The Wilson Building has been partially vacant for three years and would provide 12,145 square feet of office space for the Covid Response Team consisting of 25-30 people. They will not be conducting Covid tests or issuing the Covid vaccine. It will be for clerical work associated with the Response Team’s operations.

This Lease Agreement will allow for the Covid Response Team to relocate from the Fernside Family Service Center at 3600 NE 15th Street and continue operations in a new location at the Wilson Building, 14 NE 1st Street, Gainesville.
