Background:
The new Auditorium and the UF/IFAS Extension Office will be used for both public and private events. The contract will provide the audio visual equipment for the auditorium which will seat 300-400 people and will include a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen for demonstrations and 4-H programs.
This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302(13) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, which permits the County to purchase Supplies or Services through cooperatives, including cooperatives that the county participates in accordance with Article X, section 22.10-201 (cooperative purchasing authorized), providing the vendor extends the same terms and conditions of the contract to the county.
