Background:
Subsurface injection and grouting is a service needed by Public Works in order to conduct underground repairs to sinkholes, roadways, and drainage structures/pipe. This method of repair reduces or eliminates the amount of excavation required and thereby reduces impact to existing facilities. Under this contract repairs can be completed in a timely manner without conducting the procurement process for each instance where work is needed

Certain areas in Alachua County are prone to sinkholes due to the natural geology in this area. Repairs to sinkholes that occur in transportation right-of-way typically require underground polyurethane injection or grouting.
