Recommended Action

Conduct public hearing and adopt the resolutions to approve the proposed FY23 millage rates for the General County and MSTU-Law Enforcement and adopt the FY23 Tentative Budget.

Background:

Citizens were notified of this public hearing through the Truth in Millage (TRIM) notification as determined by Florida Statute 200.065. TRIM notices were mailed by the Alachua County Property Appraiser on August 18, 2022.

 

This is the first of two required public hearings to adopt the Millage Rates and FY23 Budget.

 

The second public hearing will be held at the Board of County Commissioner’s meeting on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 5:01 pm in the County administration building, Jack Durrance Board Room and the hearing will also be advertised in the Gainesville Sun as required by Florida Statute.
